Job Summary:
As a Jr Business Analyst, you will support the analysis and documentation of federal government IT applications and requirements. You will be required to work with stakeholders to gather requirements, optimize business processes, and ensure compliance with federal IT regulations. The BA I will work closely with members of NexGen’s internal and client teams, including but not limited to subject matter experts, technical leads, and project managers, to ensure customer satisfaction and drive innovative solutions while maintaining security standards. This position is remote.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (as assigned):
- Software analysis
- Support elicitation, gathering, review, recording, and analysis of functional and non-functional IT systems requirements.
- Support development and implementation of approved software requirements, workflows, and testing (including user acceptance testing (UAT), regression, etc.).
- Liaison between software developers and the client
- Support, update, and develop technical training materials, user manuals, presentations, and reports for software applications as instructed.
- Collaboration
- Meet all sprint/iteration commitments, which include actively collaborating in relevant Agile ceremonies as required/requested, i.e. planning intervals, backlog refinement, iteration planning, daily standups, demos, and retrospectives (on and off camera) regarding task delivery.
- Ensure your deliverables fully comply with the client’s quality, timeliness, budget, and security requirements.
- Provide status updates, written or orally.
- Assist NexGen, client, and/or partner staff supporting the application and end users with troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving application performance or security risks.
- Effectively and accurately communicate with NexGen management regarding project status and any factors which may impact project deliverable quality or timeliness, including any security risks.
- Understand and fully comply with NexGen, client, and/or partners’ privacy and security policies.

Required Skills and Abilities:
- Technical aptitude:
- Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.

Technical Skills:
- O-1 year of experience as an IT Business Analyst with training responsibilities.
- Awareness of Agile software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies and working within Agile teams (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.).
- Awareness of design thinking principles for elicitation of software requirements.
- Awareness of software/system configuration, change and release management principles and concepts.
- Awareness in conducting technical training and user support for software systems.
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- Preferred certifications including:
- SAFe for Teams
- Entry Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA)
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
- Microsoft Business Analyst Professional Certificate
- Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals (PL-900)
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Must be able to consistently use a keyboard, mouse, computer, and other office productivity tools.
- Must be able to speak and hear using online meeting tools such as Zoom and Teams and be comfortable on and off camera for videoconferencing calls.
- For remote positions, a minimum standard internet speed for optimal performance of 50 x 25 (50 mbps download x 25 mbps upload) is required.
- For remote positions, a dedicated workspace, free from ongoing interruptions, is required to protect sensitive but unclassified federal information.
Additional Requirements:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and clarity.
- The successful candidate will also be able to pass background screening prior to employment.
- US Citizenship, or legal permanent residence, or US work authorization with minimum 3 years of continuous US presence is required due to federal contract requirements.

Compensation: $45,000-$55,000/year (Dependent on Experience)
